Description:
The Quick-RRT (Repeat-Recall Test) is a 6-minute clinical that measures speech-in-noise ability and the working memory of the listener. It also samples the patient’s reported listening effort and willingness to stay in the specific listening conditions. The results can be compared to normal hearing norms to set realistic expectations, demonstrate hearing aid efficacy, and set directions for rehabilitation. We will review its applications and share experience on its use.
Learning Outcomes:
1. List the rationales for the quick RRT.
2. List the information available from using the Quick RRT.
3. List three applications for the Quick RRT.
