Description:
The American Academy of Audiology Scope of Practice states that Audiologists are qualified to evaluate, diagnose, develop management strategies, and provide treatment and rehabilitation for patients with tinnitus. Tinnitus evaluation, treatment, and research are continually evolving both inside and outside of audiology. This presentation will provide a review of the tinnitus literature published in 2021 with a focus on both clinical and research implications. Tinnitus in Review: 2021 will provide evidence based updates across several categorical domains which will benefit all audiologists and students. Attendees will be able to use this information in their clinical settings.
Learning Outcomes:
1. Impart advancements in tinnitus evaluation and management to their patients and colleagues.
2. Identify trends in current tinnitus research.
3. Describe basic epidemiological information related to tinnitus.
