Kristen Janky, AuD, PhD 
Audiologist
Boys Town National Research Hospital

Kristen Janky is Clinical Coordinator of Vestibular Services and Director of the Vestibular and Balance Laboratory at Boys Town National Research Hospital. Her PhD is from the University of Nebraska. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. Her research focuses on the effects of vestibular loss in children.

Amanda I. Rodriguez, AuD, PhD 
Assistant Professor
University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Amanda Rodriguez is an Assistant Professor and the Director of the Concussion and Vestibular Evaluation (CAVE) Laboratory at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is also a Resident Faculty member in the Center of Brain, Biology, and Behavior. She received her Au.D. and Ph.D. in Audiology and Vestibular Function-Assessment from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and completed an NIH T32 post-doc fellowship at Boys Town National Research Hospital in the Vestibular and Balance Laboratory. Her research interests include examining the effects of sport’s concussion on the vestibular system and how vestibular loss affects behavioral and physical performance over time. In addition, Dr. Rodriguez is a vestibular audiologist and provides diagnostic vestibular and concussion services for student athletes and patients across the lifespan. She also teaches graduate courses in Vestibular Assessment for students in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Doctor of Audiology program.

Erin G. Piker, AuD, PhD

James Madison University

Erin G. Piker, Au.D., Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Vestibular Sciences Lab in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at James Madison University. She earned her Au.D. and Ph.D. in Hearing Science from Vanderbilt University. Her research interests are in the areas of vestibular physiology and clinical diagnostics, with a focus on improving the diagnosis of vestibular disorders and understanding age-related changes in vestibular function.

Daniel J. Romero, AuD
PhD student
James Madison University

Daniel Romero is a second-year Ph.D. student and licensed audiologist with an emphasis in vestibular sciences at James Madison University. He received his bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from Cal State L.A. and his Au.D. from Northern Illinois University in 2018. Daniel is under the guidance of Dr. Erin Piker who serves as his Ph.D. Mentor. Together, they have been awarded multiple student grants including the Student Summer Vestibular Fellowship from the American Academy of Audiology Foundation. He continues to present research at nationally-recognized conferences such as the American Balance Society meeting and AAA Conference. Daniel has co-authored two publications since starting at JMU.

Jamie Bogle, AuD, PhD 
Assistant Professor, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science
Mayo Clinic Arizona

Jamie M. Bogle, AuD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Audiology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and the division chair of Audiology at Mayo Clinic Arizona. Clinically, Dr. Bogle evaluates children and adults with dizziness and imbalance due to peripheral and central conditions. Her research interests include integration of visual and vestibular information in individuals with neurological impairments and the improved understanding of vestibular gravito-inertial information into overall body function. She earned her Doctorate of Audiology (AuD) and PhD from the University of Colorado at Boulder and was awarded the James and Martha Crawford Endowed Clinical Research Fellowship in Otolaryngology at Mayo Clinic Florida. Dr. Bogle has been awarded the 2018 Outstanding Early-Career Audiologist Award from the American Academy of Audiology. She currently is a member of the Academy Board of Directors.

Violette Lavender, AuD 
Pediatric Audiologist
Cincinnati Children's Hospital

Violette Lavender is a pediatric audiologist at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. She has been working with children who have vestibular disorders for almost 12 years. Violette enjoys research and clinical endeavors focused on making the vestibular test battery accessible for young children. She also helps to find appropriate amplification options for children who have hearing loss.

Richard A. Roberts, PhD

Richard A. Roberts is Vice Chair of Clinical Operations and Assistant Professor for the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences at Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center. His primary research interests include various topics related to assessment and management of vestibular dysfunction.
