Wednesday, December 8, 2021
3:00 to 4:30 pm ET
No CEUs will be offered for these sessions
In the second segment of the two-part series, a panel of Academy subject matter experts (SMEs) will engage with members in a discussion of their analysis of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) proposed rule on the regulation of over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids.
The session will present a discussion, facilitated by Academy president Sarah Sydlowski, AuD, PhD, MBA, with several members from the OTC SME work group preparing the Academy response to the proposed rule. Those members include Catherine Palmer, PhD, (work group convener); Sumit Dhar, PhD; Ryan McCreery, PhD; and Todd Ricketts, PhD.
The panel will provide members with specific detail of the analysis, including the potential impact on audiology practice, and will address questions to help members in forming their own response to the proposed rule.
