Dr. Eldre Beukes

Dr. Beukes has a range of experience in research, teaching and clinical practice in hearing healthcare. She is based at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK. This experience together with extensive training has led to an extensive and varied research portfolio. Her primary focus over the past ten years has been in developing, managing, and evaluating evidence-based internet-based interventions for tinnitus.  This research has been awarded four national awards (including the Shapiro award from the British Tinnitus Association on three consecutive years between 2017 and 2019 and the Hallpike Prize in 2019) and provides an excellent framework for similar interventions. Due to her clinical excellence, she was awarded the Richard May prize following her training. She has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and is the author of three books, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Tinnitus, “Evaluating and Conducting Research in Audiology,” and “Teleaudiology Today: Remote Assessment and Management of Hearing Loss.
