Michael J. A. Robb, M.D. is a physician (medical doctor) with interests in the ear and the brain. He trained at the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine & Surgery in Manila, Philippines; Queen Square Institute of Neurology in London, U.K., Midwest Ear, Nose and Throat in Evansville, IN and Henderson, KY; Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C.; University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, WI; and the Barrow Neurological Institute/St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona to become an oto-neurologist/medical neurotologist, a very rare and relatively new sub-specialty. He has been in solo, independent, private practice in Phoenix since 2003. Patients come to see Dr. Robb for chief complaints of dizziness, vertigo, imbalance, hearing loss, tinnitus, decreased sound tolerance (hyperacusis), misophonia, numerous post-concussion symptoms (PCS) given history of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), anxiety, depression, sleep difficulties, headache, cognitive changes, other. He is the past-president of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) and is a former board of director and scientific advisory committee member of the American Tinnitus Association (ATA). He is a co-author of the two part text entitled Tinnitus Retraining Therapy -Clinical Guidelines and Patient Counseling Guide, Plural Publishing, by Henry, Trune, Robb & Jastreboff. He has been a preceptor to doctors of audiology students in Arizona and has presented at podium at the American Balance Society and the American Auditory Society annual meetings.
